The travel award is given in memory of Celine Palatsky, who served as the Associate Museum Librarian of the Thomas J. Watson Library at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1971 to 1999 and as ARLIS/NA NY Treasurer for fourteen consecutive years. The ARLIS/NA New York Travel Award was initiated in 1993 and renamed the Celine Palatsky Travel Award in 2000.

More information about the award, including past recipients, can be found at:

Your donation to the Celine Palatsky Travel Award Fund helps defray the cost each year for at least one ARLIS/NY member who does not have institutional or full institutional support to attend the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) annual conference. The amount and number of awards varies each year based on chapter resources and the conference location.

Donations can be any amount, and automatic reoccurring donations can be set up. All contributions to ARLIS/NY are tax deductible, and a receipt will be provided.
