&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#333333"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 16px;" face="Oswald"&gt;&lt;font color="#333333"&gt;Attending the Annual ARLIS Conference? Save the date for our ARLIS/NA New York Chapter Gathering in Montréal. Join us for a&amp;nbsp;&lt;font&gt;soirée&lt;/font&gt;&amp;nbsp;on Monday, May 4th at 6:30 p.m. at&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;a href="https://poincarechinatown.com/"&gt;&lt;font color="#1155CC"&gt;Poincaré Chinatown&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;font color="#333333"&gt;&lt;span&gt;.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#333333"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font color="#333333" style="font-size: 16px;" face="Oswald"&gt;If you would like to walk as a group, we will meet in the lobby of the&amp;nbsp;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;&lt;font color="#3B4854"&gt;Hotel Bonaventure&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;at 6:00 p.m. Our gathering location is roughly 20 minutes away on foot and walking in groups is recommended.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Chapter Tour of "Mystery and Wonder: A Legacy of Golden Age Magicians in New York City" at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts (11 May 2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;font color="#333333" face="Georgia"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;Join the ARLIS/NA New York chapter for a tour of&lt;/font&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;Mystery and Wonder: A Legacy of Golden Age Magicians&lt;/font&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;&lt;em&gt;in New York City,&lt;/em&gt; led by curator, Annemarie van Roessel.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;font color="#333333" style="font-size: 16px;" face="Georgia"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font&gt;In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a surge of magicians began to refine their art, finding larger audiences and building communities of practice, especially in New York City. This period has come to be known as the Golden Age of Magic. The history of magic and magicians has long been documented through text and image as a form of theater by the Billy Rose Theatre Division at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Now, the exhibition&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;span&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;font&gt;Mystery and Wonder: A Legacy of Golden Age Magicians in New York City,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font&gt;curated by Annemarie van Roessel, will display rich and historic archival materials related to the art of magic and the fascinating lives of magicians performing in New York City during the Golden Age.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;font color="#333333" style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font face="Georgia"&gt;&lt;span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000"&gt;This tour will be capped at 15 participants.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
