RETURN to Uncanny Valley: Gifts in an Unforgiving World
ARLIS/NY and NYTSL invite you to “RETURN to Uncanny Valley: Gifts in an Unforgiving World” on Friday May 17th from 3-5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Following hot on the heels of last year’s runaway success comes this blockbuster sequel, featuring brief presentations by colleagues from a range of local institutions about gift situations they’ve found themselves in, followed by a spirited, open-ended discussion where everyone can share their experiences processing gifts. We’ll focus on the nuts and bolts of dealing with gifts, emphasizing the processes we use to cope with these gentle giants. Unlike the previous time, we won’t even pretend that we’re going to break into smaller groups or anything like that, since there proved to be more than enough discussion to carry us right into the reception/networking portion of the event. (Like last time, that will be in Nolen Library, and afterwards you’ll be able to stay and see exhibitions in the Museum.)
Unfortunately, also as with last time, space is limited, so RSVP quickly!
