The Fordham Museum of Greek, Etruscan and Roman Art located in the William D. Walsh Family Library is the result of the largest gift of art in Fordham’s history. The collection was donated by Fordham alumnus William D. Walsh and his wife Jane, longtime benefactors of the University. The antiquities museum occupies 4,000 square feet of space on the main floor of the Library. It features more than 260 antiquities dating from the 10th century B.C. through the 3rd century A.D. The collection spans several periods, Mycenaean, Villanovan, Classical Greece, Geometrical, Archaic Roman, Imperial Roman, Republican, Etruscan, South Italian.
