The ARLIS/NA New York Chapter is pleased to offer the Celine Palatsky Travel Award to support attendance at the 54th ARLIS/NA Annual Conference, Résistance, hosted in Montréal May 2-8, 2026.

This year, the grant will be shared equally between a student member and a full professional member of ARLIS/NY, and should be able to cover conference registration for both recipients before the April 3rd early rate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students and new members who want to become more involved in the organization, and we encourage you to apply!

Award recipients will be selected by the Celine Palatsky Travel Award Committee.

Eligibility:

Must be a member in good standing with both ARLIS/NA and ARLIS/NA New York Chapter.
Must not have full institutional support.
Must not be an ARLIS/NA New York Chapter board member.
Must not have won this award in the past five years.

About the Celine Palatsky Travel Award

The ARLIS/NA New York Chapter Travel Award was initiated in 1993 and renamed in 2000 in memory of Celine Palatsky, who served as Associate Museum Librarian of the Thomas J. Watson Library of the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1971 to 1999 and as ARLIS/NA New York Treasurer for fourteen consecutive years. Celine grew up in France and handled books as a cataloger and reference librarian at the Met in numerous languages, including Greek and Latin. She was a dedicated professional, serving the chapter from 1979 to 1993 and participating in local, regional, and national meetings.

We encourage members to donate in support of the Celine Palatsky Travel Award to promote the professional development of our community through conference attendance.

Announcing the 2025 Celine Palatsky Travel Award Winner

The Celine Palatsky Travel Award Committee is pleased to announce Lorenzo De Los Angeles as the award's 2025 recipient! This year's $100 award supports attendance at the 53rd annual ARLIS/NA conference, held virtually May 12-16, 2025.

Lorenzo De Los Angeles is a working visual artist and a Reference Assistant for Frick Art Research Library of The Frick Collection. He was able to attend the 2018 ARLIS/NA Conference in New York City and was pleased to be able to apply what he had learned to his professional practice. We are happy to support Lorenzo in his work and interest in meeting and engaging with peers.

The ARLIS/NA New York Chapter Travel Award was initiated in 1993 and renamed in 2000 in memory of Celine Palatsky, who served as Associate Museum Librarian of the Thomas J. Watson Library of the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1971 to 1999 and as ARLIS/NA New York Treasurer for fourteen consecutive years. The ARLIS/NA New York Chapter Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for the following roles as part of the 2025 Executive Board:

Vice Chair/Chair-Elect (three-year term: Vice Chair > Chair > Past Chair)
Secretary (two-year term)
Student/Early Professional and Mentoring Liaison

Board roles can give you experience with budgets, event planning, leadership, and more. You’ll expand your network and serve your colleagues by ensuring the chapter thrives and provides value to its members.

Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect

The Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect (VC/CE) has a one-year term with a three-year commitment: after one year, the VC/CE succeeds as Chairperson, and then Past Chairperson. The VC/CE assumes the Chair’s role in the event the Chair is unable to serve, assists the Chair in the preparation of meetings, assembles and serves as chair/liaison to the Board of the Nominating Committee for the following year’s Board, and the Celine Palatsky Travel Award committee. This role has voting privileges. For more on the Chair’s role & responsibilities, see the description in the Chapter’s Bylaws (Article IV, Section E, item 1).

Secretary

The Secretary has a two-year term and is responsible for the scheduling and keeping of minutes of both Chapter and Board meetings and, after Board approval, submits them to the Web Editor for posting on the Chapter’s website. The Secretary is also responsible for balloting and counting votes cast and communicating the results to the Chapter.

Student/Early Professional and Mentoring Liaison

The Student/Early Professional Mentoring Liaison is dedicated to providing support to students and emerging professionals in art librarianship. The Liaison helps to build networking and professional development opportunities, through tours, workshops, and happy hour events. The Student/Early Professional and Mentoring Liaison may serve a maximum of five consecutive years.

All terms begin January 1, 2025. Board meetings are held approximately once a month via Zoom.

Membership in both the New York Chapter and ARLIS/NA are required to serve on the Board. If you are not a member of ARLIS/NA or the New York Chapter, we still encourage you to apply! The Chapter has allocated funds to cover dues for selected candidates who are not yet members, are currently students, or unemployed. If financial hardship is preventing you from applying for the Executive Board, apply and let us know!

Call for Proposals: ARLIS/NA New York Mini-Conference

The ARLIS/NA New York Programming Committee is pleased to announce the fourth annual ARLIS/NA New York Mini-Conference, a series of free events for chapter members taking place over three consecutive Wednesdays in October. Chapter membership is required to attend and present. The mini-conference will feature two lunchtime lightning round sessions on October 9 and 23, as well as a panel discussion on early career experiences in art librarianship on October 16. All events will be held virtually via Zoom.

Lightning round presentations will be no more than 10 minutes in length and may include slides. Presentations are welcome on a variety of topics, including:

Celine Palatsky Travel Award Winner 2024

The Celine Palatsky Travel Award Committee is pleased to announce Flannery Cusick as the award's 2024 recipient. This year's $1200 award supports attendance at the 52nd annual ARLIS/NA conference held in Pittsburgh April 2-5, 2024.

Flannery Cusick is currently a Graduate Assistant at the Ricker Library at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and previously interned in access services at the Frick Art Reference Library, during which they became an active member of the New York Chapter and wrote for the chapter newsletter. Prior to their work in libraries, Flannery worked as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University. Flannery has been accepted to present at this year's conference, and the committee was impressed by their explicit intention to engage in a "mutually beneficial" relationship with ARLIS. We're happy to support Flannery in building a career in our field.

Celine Palatsky Travel Award Winner 2023

ARLIS/NA New York is thrilled to announce this year’s awardee of the Celine Palatsky Travel Award for attendance at ARLIS/NA's annual conference in Mexico City, Mexico.

Alejandra Perez is a recent graduate of the Pratt Institute, with an MSLIS degree and advanced certification in archives. She also received a BS in Art History and Museum Professions from SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology. She has previously worked as a Page for New York Public Library in the General Research Division and as a Library Assistant for Avery Architectural & Fine Arts Library, Columbia University. She is now the Systems & Metadata Librarian for the Brooklyn Museum Libraries & Archives.

This year’s award committee was Amy Handfield, Deborah Kempe, and Billy Kwan.

We are using a combination of technologies to crawl and archive sites and content, including the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, the Browsertrix crawler and the ArchiveWeb.page browser extension and app of the Webrecorder project.”

Celine Palatsky Travel Award Winner

ARLIS/NA New York is thrilled to announce this year’s awardee of the Celine Palatsky Travel Award for attendance at ARLIS/NA's Annual Conference in Chicago, Illinois.

Nic Caldwell (he/they) has been a member of the ARLIS/NA New York Chapter since 2020. Nic is a Curatorial Fellow at The Morgan Library and Museum (@themorganlibrary) and a 2021 graduate of the NYU Dual Degree program, with a Masters in English Literature and Library and Information Science. His approach to library work is to challenge the boundaries of who has access to knowledge, who creates history, and whose stories get to be told. He is particularly interested in how archives and special collections can be made more accessible to marginalized communities.

Nic will be presenting a Lightning Talk, “Our Artists, Our Culture: Critically Cataloging The Black Arts Movement”, at the Annual Conference.

This year’s award committee was Giana Ricci, Jillian Suarez, and Joey Vincennie.

Charge of Nominating Assessment Committee

The 2022 ARLIS/NA New York Executive Board is charging a Nominating Assessment Committee to examine the chapter’s current nominating processes. This committee will consist of at least three but no more than four non-Executive Board chapter members, plus the Secretary who will serve as a liaison between the Committee and the Executive Board. The Secretary will serve in an administrative capacity only, providing access to Board documents as necessary and passing along questions to the Board.

This group will examine our existing processes with particular attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion with the aim of mitigating personal bias in the selection process and promoting transparency. This committee will create a report with findings and recommendations for review by the Executive Board of 2022 with implementation for future Nominating Committees.

The group will start its work as soon as possible and is expected to finish by the end of May 2022, although the timeline is flexible.

ARLIS/NY mini conference in October-Call for Partcipation

The ARLIS NA/New York Programming Committee is planning a mini-conference which will include of series of free events each Wednesday in October. Our vision is that the series will kick off with a happy hour on October 6th (details forthcoming), followed by two lunchtime lightning round sessions (October 13th, 20th). These events are open to members and non-members.

Participants will have an opportunity to share works in progress and materials in their collections, new initiatives, etc. The lightning round presentations will be no more than ten minutes in length and may include slides (slides are optional).

Presentations may discuss, but are not limited to, the following topics and themes:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives

Digital Projects
New research tools
Research instruction advances
Collections
Libraries and COVID-19
Professional development/new professionals

The mini-conference will close on October 27th with a session on professional development and/or skills for new professionals. Please use our Google form to submit lightning presentation proposals by September 7th, 2021. Accepted submissions will be notified by September 10th, 2021.

The Nominating Committee for the 2022 ARLIS/NA New York Chapter’s Executive Board would like to invite you to self-nominate for an open Executive Board position. Serving on the ARLIS/NA New York Chapter’s Executive Board is a great way to get more involved with the chapter and the national organization, gain leadership experience, network with fellow art information professionals, and build your resume.

The ARLIS/NA New York Executive Board will sponsor selected candidates who are not yet members or are currently a student or unemployed by covering the cost of ARLIS/NA and ARLIS/NA New York dues. If financial hardship is preventing you from joining ARLIS/NA and applying for the Executive Board, please let us know when you apply so that we can work with you.

Open Position Descriptions:

The Vice-Chairperson/Chairperson-Elect

The Vice-Chairperson/Chairperson-Elect (VC-CE) is a one-year term with a three-year commitment (after one year, they succeed as Chairperson, and then Past Chairperson). The VC-CE acts as the chief executive officer in the event the Chairperson is unable to serve, assists the Chairperson in the preparation of meetings, assembles and serves as chair of the nominating committee for the following year’s Board and the Celine Palatsky travel award committee. The VC/CE is responsible for reviewing the Chapter By-laws and other documents, checking for consistency. They also update and post the roster of Executive Board members since 1973.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is a two-year term and is responsible for handling all financial accounts of the chapter. The Treasurer disburses funds as directed by the Executive Board and receives the membership dues from the Membership Coordinator. The Treasurer reads a financial report at each Executive Board meeting and files a summary report on finances at the end of the year. They provide proof of yearly tax payment at close of fiscal year to ARLIS/NA and may also exhibit the books and accounts to any member of the society upon request.

Membership Coordinator (Member-at-Large)

The Membership Coordinator is a two-year term. The Membership Coordinator maintains the ARLIS/NA New York membership database.They receive and process individual membership applications and renewals, answer membership inquiries, confirm receipt of payment, forward dues payments by check to the Treasurer. The Membership Coordinator drafts messages for current and potential ARLIS/NA New York members, which are posted on ARLIS/NY-L, sent to area library and information science schools, and other contacts as necessary. They also provide quarterly reports on membership statistics, including the number of current members and breakdown of membership types.

Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator develops innovative and creative media content across social media platforms, proposes a creative strategy in collaboration with executive Board members, and creates and maintains relevant social media accounts. They set up routine tasks and activities for all social media outlets, all while keeping track of social media trends and innovations. They deliver reports at Board meetings with statistics and results for each account. The Social Media Coordinator may serve for a maximum of five consecutive years.

Student/Early Professional Liaison

The Student/Early Professional Liaison is dedicated to providing support to students and emerging professionals in art librarianship. The Liaison helps to build networking and professional development opportunities, through happy hour events, tours, and workshops. The Student/Early Professional Liaison may serve for a maximum of five consecutive years.

Chapter Mentoring Liaison

The Chapter Mentoring Liaison oversees all aspects of the Chapter’s Mentoring Program: recruiting and matching mentees and mentors, providing readings, handouts, and other tips and recommendations. They also periodically check in with mentees and mentors, providing advice, ensuring that the program is successful for the participants. The Chapter Mentoring Liaison may serve for a maximum of five consecutive years.

Virtual Program on Inclusive Description in New York City

NYTSL and ARLIS/NY are pleased to announce a joint virtual program on the topic of current projects on inclusive description here in New York City.

Inclusive description seeks to use libraries’ metadata to bring forward the perspectives of marginalized communities and increase the discoverability and use of resources related to those communities. The 2019 documentary film Change the Subject brought widespread attention to this issue with its story of Dartmouth students who advocated first to Dartmouth’s libraries and then to Congress about officially changing the Library of Congress subject heading “Illegal aliens” to “Undocumented immigrants.” While this effort has not yet been successful at the national level, individual organizations are now undertaking their own projects to remediate this specific subject heading and other harmful language in their catalogs and finding aids.

Please join us to hear presentations and Q&A from three organizations on their current work.

Indigenous Land Acknowledgement Resources

The ARLIS/NY Board acknowledges that many of the organizations represented by members in this chapter operate on unceded Indigenous land, specifically the homeland of the Lenape peoples.

Announcing ARLIS/NA New York’s Celine Palatsky Travel Award for 2021

ARLIS/NA New York is thrilled to announce this year’s awardee of the Celine Palatsky Travel Award for attendance at ARLIS/NA's virtual annual conference.

Joey Vincennie is a graduate student at Pratt Institute working towards an MSLIS and an MA in History of Art and Design. He is currently writing his MA thesis on the curation of Franklin Furnace’s Window Works series from 1976 to 1984 under the supervision of Professor Martha Wilson. Joey will graduate in May and looks forward to a future in art librarianship.

Joey will be presenting “How do art librarians art book fair?”: Art Book Fairs as Collection Development at this year’s annual conference (virtual).

This year’s award committee was Janna Singer-Baefsky, Missy Brown, and Samantha Deutch.

The Nominating Committee is pleased to nominate the following candidates for positions opening on the ARLIS/NA New York Board:

Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect: Giana Ricci

Giana Ricci is the Librarian for the Fine Arts at New York University. She received her MA in Art History from NYU's Institute of Fine Arts and her MLIS from the Palmer School of Information at Long Island University through a dual-degree program. Before entering her current position at NYU in July of last year, Giana has held positions at the Tamiment Library and Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives, the Brooklyn Museum Libraries and Archives, and the Frick Art Reference Library. Some of her interests include artists' books, diversity, and equity in the field of art librarianship, and the intersection of arts and social justice.

Secretary: Cindy Wolff

Cindy Wolff received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Emmanuel College (Boston, MA) and received her Master's in Library and Information Science from Queens College, CUNY. She has worn many hats in various library settings, mostly in technical services and collection management. She has also worked in Pratt's School of Information in administrative and advisory capacities and taught a knowledge organization course. Her art library experience includes working at MoMA and Pratt Institute. She is currently working as Processing Administrator in the Technical Services Department of Pratt Institute. Cindy has been a member of ARLIS/NY since 2002 and previously served on the Board as Member-At-Large for Membership. She is happily looking forward to serving as Secretary.

Programming Coordinator (Member-At-Large): Missy Brown

Missy Brown received her MSLIS from Pratt Institute in 2009 and has worked at Pratt since 2013, currently as Assistant Professor and Cataloging and Metadata Librarian. Prior to coming to Pratt, Missy worked as a Project Coordinator at the Brooklyn Museum on a 3-year grant-funded IMLS (Institute for Museum and Library Services) project where she oversaw the digitization of historical documentary photographs of Brooklyn. When not cataloging, Missy can be found making raku ceramics and zines.

Social Media Coordinator: Mitsuko Brooks

Mitsuko Brooks is a third-semester graduate student pursuing a Masters of Library and Information Studies and a Certificate in Archives and Preservation of Cultural Materials at Queens College. She was awarded The American Library Association Spectrum Scholarship (2020), Queens College's Graduate Student Endowment Scholarship (2019), and was a student council member of Queens College's Asian/American Center (AAC) (2019). She holds an M.F.A. in Painting & Drawing from UCLA and a B.F.A. from Cooper Union School of Art. Mitsuko is a Part-Time Reference Librarian at Cooper Union Library and has interned at Asian American Art Centre's Artist Archive. Her interests are in serving Asian American organizations and the digitization of art archives.

Student/Early Professional Liaison: Abigail Walker

Abigail Walker is the Serials Receiving Assistant at New York University's Institute of Fine Arts Library, where she contributes to various technical and public services. Before her work in libraries, she worked in museums and conservation labs. Abigail graduated in May with her MSLIS from Pratt Institute and is particularly interested in critical information literacy and approaches to reference and instruction in art libraries.

News Editor: Allison Grillo

Allison Grillo received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Utah and received her Master's in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute. She is a reference and research librarian for the law firm Herrick Feinstein, and works closely with members of the firm's Art Law department. Before that she worked at Practising Law Institute contributing to their ongoing digital archives project.

The ARLIS/NA New York Chapter is pleased to offer the Celine Palatsky Travel Award to support professional development including attendance at the 49th annual conference, Convergence = Collaboration + Créativite, hosted in Montreal, Canada in May, 2021.

ARLIS/NA New York’s executive board recognizes that this year, with COVID, an emphasis on “professional development” and candidates are encouraged to apply for opportunities outside of the annual conference.

Dear colleagues,

The Art Librarians Society of North America - New York Chapter is seeking members for two committees and six executive Board positions: Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect, Secretary, Programming Coordinator (Member-At-Large), Social Media Coordinator, Student/Early Professional Liaison, and News Editor.

This year, in addition to looking for committee volunteers, we seek nominations (self-nominations are encouraged) for all open positions, even those who have been traditionally appointed by the Vice-Chairperson/Chairperson-Elect (these are the Social Media Coordinator, Student/Early Professional Liaison, and News Editor positions).

We are looking for members to serve on the Nominating and Celine Palatsky Award Committees. If you have been interested in taking on an ARLIS/NA NY leadership role and unable to commit to a Board position’s time requirements, serving on a committee is a great way to get your feet wet and learn more about our society.

Due to these unprecedented times, and because membership in both the Chapter and ARLIS/NA is required to serve on the Board, the Board decided to wave chapter dues and sponsor national memberships for new board positions who are not yet members and are currently students or unemployed, and are selected to serve on the Executive Board.

Committee and Open Board Member Descriptions

Nominating Committee members assist the Vice-Chairperson/Chairperson-Elect in selecting the slate of candidates, which will be presented at the Chapter’s annual business meeting.

Celine Palatsky Award Committee members are responsible for reviewing applications and determining the awardees for ARLIS/NA’s conference next year. For more information and past awardees, see the awards page on the Chapter’s website.

The Vice-Chairperson/Chairperson-Elect

The Secretary

The Secretary is responsible for the keeping of minutes of both Chapter and Board meetings and, after Board approval, submit them to the Web Editor for posting on the Chapter’s website. The Secretary is also responsible for balloting and counting votes cast and communicating the results to the Chapter.

Programming Coordinator (Member-At-Large)

The Programming Coordinator is responsible for coordinating ARLIS/NY events, including communication with third parties (i.e., museums, galleries, libraries, venues, etc.). They research new event ideas and propose them to the Executive Board for approval. They manage announcements, registration, and reminders for all events unless otherwise handled by another chapter member. The Programming Coordinator fields member requests for and questions about events.

Customarily appointed (now open) non-voting Board positions.

News Editor

The News Editor manages and oversees the Chapter’s listserv with the exciting possibility of creating a Humanities Commons (HC) chapter WordPress site. In consultation with other Board members, the News Editor will have the opportunity to lead the charge and facilitate the creation and curation of ARLIS/NY’s HC page.

A message from the board about the Forum on Equity and Inclusion in Art Librarianship

Due to the developing circumstances related to current public health precautions, The Art Libraries Society of North America New York Chapter (ARLIS/NY) and the New York Art Resources Consortium (NYARC) have made the difficult decision to postpone the Forum on Equity and Inclusion in Art Librarianship to the Spring of 2021.

Unfortunately, this includes delaying our planning and committee selections as well. We hope to resume work on this event in the fall of 2020 and will reissue our open call at such time. We sincerely thank you for your your flexibility and patience during this process.

Dear members,

We wanted to write to you briefly with our thoughts and plans.

The ARLIS NY Board strongly encourages the use of social distancing to deal with this crisis; at the same time, we want to help keep our members engaged, connected, and enthusiastic about their work and studies. Naturally, we will schedule no physical gatherings for the near future. Still, we want to use our organization and network to provide a venue for virtual presentations, meetings, and other types of connections. We very much welcome your input and ideas for these. Please feel free to contact Gianna Ricci for programming suggestions at giana.ricci@nyu.edu.

This is a challenging time for all of us, and we know that the degree of these challenges will vary greatly depending on our family commitments and other personal situations. We also know that the cultural institutions in the city—as well as the world—are being affected by this crisis. We look forward to returning to them, and using this moment as a reminder that, in many ways, they are why we live in this place. Our museums, galleries, musical venues, independent bookshops, and neighborhood cinemas will need our commitment more than ever. We hope to see them restored to their full strength, and in turn, let them restore us to our health as an inspired, invigorated community.

POSTPONED-Call for Committee Members: Forum on Equity and Inclusion in Art Librarianship

The Art Libraries Society of North America New York Chapter (ARLIS/NY) and the New York Art Resources Consortium (NYARC) are extending an open call for applications to join the planning committee for the upcoming event: Forum on Equity and Inclusion in Art Librarianship. This forum will take place in November of 2020 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. We are looking for applicants who are dedicated to the goals of inclusion and equity and look forward to the challenge of planning an ambitious event. You do not need to be a member of ARLIS/NY to apply for the Forum planning committee.

Goals of the planning committee members include:

Design format of event and budget proposal
Send out open call for submissions or invitations in March 2020
Act as jury selectors for proposals, ideally a double blind process
Notify presenters of proposal acceptance or denial by May 2020
Disseminate and promote Forum details to various interested parties
Handle registration for the event (free)

The anticipated time commitment for membership on the Forum planning committee will be 2-4 hours in March, 2-4 hours in April, and various hours as needed to coordinate logistics closer to the event. Committee members will receive support from Giana Ricci, Clerk of the Committee and Programming Coordinator of ARLIS/NY as well as Molly Seegers and Ashley Hinshaw as representatives of NYARC. A physical location for committee meetings will be provided by ARLIS/NY.

Interested applicants should send their CV and a statement of interest (500 words) to equityinclusionforumcommittee@gmail.com. Please emphasize your experience with planning events, your research or presentations related to inclusion and equity, or other related endeavors. Students, new career professionals, and library workers of all levels are encouraged to apply. We are looking to recruit 4 to 6 committee members through this open call. Committee members will also be eligible to submit proposals for the Forum.

Committee members will be gifted an individual chapter membership to ARLIS/NY as compensation for their efforts. If you are already an ARLIS/NY member, you will be gifted a chapter membership when your current membership expires.

Announcing the Winners of the Celine Palatsky Travel Award for 2020

ARLIS/NY is thrilled to announce the winners of this year’s Celine Palatsky Travel Award for attendance at the St. Louis conference, this year to be shared by two of the chapter’s members.

Janna Singer-Baefsky is a current MoMA Art Library Fellow and is on track to complete her MSLIS at Pratt this December and her MA in Art History from Hunter College in 2022.

Meghan Lyon is currently a NYARC Web Archiving Fellow at the Frick Art Reference Library and will also be completing her MSLIS at Pratt this year.

Both Meghan and Janna will be speaking at this year’s New Voices in the Profession session at the conference.

This year’s award committee was Amye McCarther, Phoebe Stein, and Michael Carter.

Candidates for the 2020 ARLIS/NA NY Board

The Nominating Committee is pleased to nominate the following candidates for positions opening on the ARLIS/NA NY Board:

For Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect: Samantha Deutch. Samantha Deutch is the Assistant Director of the Center for the History of Collecting at the Frick Art Reference Library and a member of the Digital Art History Lab. She holds Masters Degrees in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University, and in art history, 18th and 19th Century Spanish Art, from Binghamton University. She is the creator and editor of the Center’s online Archives Directory for the History of Collecting in America for which she was awarded the Worldwide Books Award for Electronic Resources 2011 by the Art Library’s Society of North America. Most recently, Ms. Deutch contributed an article “Transforming Research Methodologies: The Frick Art Reference Library’s Collaborative Approach,” for the publication Collecting and Provenance: A Multi-Disciplinary Approach, edited by Jane Milosch and Nick Pearce, published by Rowman & Littlefield, 2019. She is currently serving as Chair of ARLIS/NA’s Documentation Committee and as co-chair of the Society’s new publication initiative, an annotated Digital Art History Directory.

For Treasurer: Scott Davis. Scott Davis is the Cataloging & Reference Librarian at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. He holds an MA from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU and an MLIS from The Palmer School, LIU. He is a contributor to the Grove Dictionary of Art, has presented numerous concerts and performances at art and music venues throughout the United States, and has most recently co-curated the exhibition Jamie Isenstein: Universe of Logs at the Institute of Fine Arts (2018).

For Membership Coordinator (Member-At-Large): Meghan R. Constantinou. Meghan Constantinou has served as Librarian of the Grolier Club since 2011 and has been a club member since 2013. As the head librarian, she manages all aspects of the library and performs curatorial duties as well. She received her MLIS from Pratt Institute in 2012, MA in Art History from the University of Delaware in 2010, and BFA in Painting from Syracuse University in 2001. Her research interests include the history of private collecting, women’s book ownership, provenance studies, and the book arts. She joined ARLIS/NA as a library student at Pratt, participated in the ARLIS/NA mentor program, and served as Student/Professional Development Liaison for ARLIS/NY in 2012-2014. She looks forward to working with the New York chapter again!
