Welcome to the ARLIS/NA New York Chapter!

The New York Chapter of the Art Libraries Society of North America, an organization that fosters excellence in art librarianship and the visual arts, meets several times a year at various libraries, museums and other institutions in the city and surrounding area.

The Celine Palatsky Travel Award is given annually in memory of Celine Palatsky, who served as the Associate Museum Librarian of the Thomas J. Watson Library of the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 1971 to 1999 and as ARLIS/NA New York Treasurer for fourteen consecutive years.

The ARLIS/NA New York Chapter is pleased to offer the Celine Palatsky Travel Award to support attendance at the ARLIS/NA 48th annual conference, to be held April 20-24, 2020 in Saint Louis. This is a great opportunity for students or new members who would like to become more involved in the organization, so we encourage you to apply!
