This informal chat will focus on the return to on-site services for small art libraries. In what ways are solo librarians and librarians on small staffs handling division of labor, advocacy, and logistics in this new phase of our ongoing public health crisis? How are we particularly taxed by this challenging moment, and how does a small profile make onsite work easier? Can we identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership, amongst ourselves and with our better-resourced colleagues, to preserve and improve small libraries right now?
This session will be moderated by Ivy Blackman, Managing Director, Frances Mulhall Achilles Library at the Whitney Museum and Tali Han, Archivist and Manager, Guggenheim Museum. It will take place on Wednesday September 23rd from 1:00-2:00pm (EST) via Zoom. Registered participants will receive a Zoom link one day before the event.
